On May 4, Four Penn Center, a Carter managed property located at 1600 John F. Kennedy Blvd. in Philadelphia Pa., was awarded The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) regional award from the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Middle Atlantic region. The building was recognized at this year’s 85th BOMA Middle Atlantic Conference at The Ritz-Carlton Philadelphia. Four Penn Center is the winner of the 500,000-999,000 square-feet category.
Carter is proud to win this prestigious accolade in the commercial real estate industry. The TOBY regional awards showcase high quality buildings with excellent building management. Carter's focus on tenant service, green initiatives, frequent tenant events and energy conservation was instrumental in the building’s selection for this award. As a regional winner, Four Penn Center will automatically advance to the International TOBY awards competition. The international TOBY awards will be presented in Washington D.C. at the BOMA International Conference, June 26-28, 2011. Carter won its first international TOBY award in 2009 for management of Fifth Street Towers in Minneapolis, Minn.
Carter has managed the multi-tenant office building since March 2006. Headed by Carter General Manager, Michael F. Zwolinski, the Four Penn Center management team also includes Chuck Barry, Jonathon Cambridge, Ed Cookson, Sharlene Gillespie, Mark Kenny, Melanie Newman and Sofie Solska.
Congratulations and keep up the good work!
